You can prepare this throughout the year. In addition to enriching the menu, sprouts bring a completely new taste to the kitchen. The range of their taste goes from mild, not too spicy, and spicy taste. They are an unusually healthy vegetable full of vitamins and minerals. It is always good to eat and easy to grow. Stubble is a living plant in full growth.

Planting sprouts in a jar is, for now, the easiest way for the seed to germinate. They are increasingly attracting nutritionists because of the abundance of nutrients. As well as being a superfood, you can also use them to start planting vegetables.

Lens sprouts – contain protein, zinc, phosphorus, manganese, selenium, iron, vitamins A, B, C, and E. They act as a diuretic, they strengthen the heart and boost immunity.

I personally like the taste of cabbage. If you want to add something new and healthy to your diet, this is the right one for you.

Instructions
  1. Put two tablespoons of seed in a clean, deep plate. Clean the seed by removing pale seeds, broken seeds, or any external dirt. Add water, and allow them to soak for ten minutes.
  2. Pour the seeds and water into a sieve to clean them. You can use a strainer, a piece of cloth or thin, net-like material. Then, put the seeds in the jar and add cold water.
  3. Close the jar with any of the above-mentioned strainers or cloths, and leave them soaked in water overnight.
  4. In the morning, pour the water from the jar. Then, place the jar at an angle upside down to completely drain the remaining water. The seeds should be evenly distributed throughout the jar, not just around the opening. Store in a cool, dark place.
  5. Rinse the contents one to two times a day. To rinse, add cold filtered water to the jar. Stir the seeds by turning the jar. Cover with a strainer, and pour in the water. Shake vigorously to drain all the water. After 24 hours, you may notice that the sprouts begin to overgrow. Continue rinsing two to three times a day, and for the rest of the time, the jar should be at an angle upside down position like before.
  6. Continue the same procedure, and on the 4th day put the jar in indirect sunlight for one or two days to turn green. Do not expose them to direct sunlight.
  7. Around 6-7th day, the sprouts should be over with growing. Try them, and if they taste good, they are ready to be eaten.
  8. Remove the sprouts from the jar, and place them in a bowl of cold water. Separate them with a fork. Then, mix the sprouts by hand and remove the legumes. Put them in a large strainer to lose the remaining moisture.
  9. Allow the sprouts to completely dry on a paper towel. They should be dry, so that they do not catch mold and spoil. You can use them immediately, or store them in the refrigerator for up to a week. If you want to put them in the fridge and keep them fresh, wrap them in a clean paper towel and put them in a plastic bag or plastic container.
  10. Add oil, lemon juice, salt, garlic, or whatever you like as in any standard salad. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes

If there is too much moisture, the seeds may become moldy instead of germinating. And if there is too little moisture, the seeds will remain dry and will not germinate at all.

You can also try 4 tablespoons instead of 2. I used 2 for greater visibility and the likelihood of spoilage is lower in smaller amounts because like that it has better airflow.

The jar should not be exposed to direct sunlight. The jar is exposed to direct light only for the purposes of the video.
