After I made lemon balm infused oil, now I will use it in everyday hand balm. It is an excellent balm that helps your skin, especially in winter days.
To make hand balm at home is very easy. You don’t need special equipment. Besides that, you will get natural balm without any harmful additives.
Shea butter and coconut oil are already proven for skin health. They soften and retain skin moisture. Lemon balm complements this effectiveness with its antibacterial and inflammatory properties. It soothes irritated skin and causes a pleasant feeling. The wax maintains the density and shape of the balm at room temperature.
I will use lemon balm infused in olive oil (see my previous recipe). You can use sunflower oil too. In fact, sunflower oil is more easily absorbed into the skin.
Preparing it will not take very much of your time – maybe 20-30 minutes.
Ok, get shea butter, coconut oil, beeswax, and essential oil (If you want a better scent. I didn’t have it at the moment when recording the recipe,) and make yourself lemon balm infused oil!

- 2 tablespoons beeswax
- 2 tablespoons shea butter
- 6 tablespoons lemon balm infused oil see my previous recipe
- 15 drops essential oil of lavender or whatever scent you want optional
- Prepare the ingredients in a certain amount. Add the shea butter, coconut oil, beeswax, and lemon balm infused oil to the bowl.
- Bring water to a boil in a saucepan.
- Place the deep bowl on top of the pot, but be careful not to touch the water. The heating must be steamed, so as not to destroy the useful ingredients.
- Wait for all the ingredients to come together and become one mixture.
- Remove from the heat and stir by hand until you notice an increase in density and a little bit white color at the ends of the pan. Add essential oil. ( That will take 5 - 10 minutes)
- Pour in the tins and wait to set up.
- Close and label it. It should last for a year.
